YOUR PRIVACY

Below, you will find our privacy policy. We take the issue of privacy very seriously indeed. Please read our policy and feel free to contact us if you have any questions at info@spinc.ca or at 403-240-0488.

We take privacy seriously and we go to considerable lengths to protect your personal information. Your records are kept under double lock and key and access to the records is limited to a very select number of people, all of whom understand the rules and regulations concerning the storage of private information.

At no time is your private information sold to or shared with third parties for the purpose of financial gain. When we use private information, you can be sure it is only used in a manner that is consistent with the law governing the use of private information in Alberta. At times contractors, accountants, bookkeepers, computer personnel, and so on, with whom we have to interact in order to conduct our business, have access to a limited amount of private information that we have in our possession. In these circumstances, we ensure that the contractor is aware of, and adheres to, Alberta's legislation on information pertaining to the use and dissemination of private information and, like us, is not involved in the unlawful distribution of people's private information for personal gain.

Release of information without consent.

We are required by law to release private information concerning someone we believe to be at risk of seriously harming himself/herself or others. Also, if there is reason to believe that a person may be harming a child or a dependent adult, we are required by law to contact the authorities and inform them of the situation. Otherwise, the only time we would release your private information without your written consent would be if a court ordered us to do so.
